Video: Cecil the Lion’s Legacy Lives on in His Grandcubs

Seems hard to believe it’s been one year since everyone’s favorite dentist Walter Palmer killed a beloved African lion named Cecil in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Palmer and his guides lured Cecil out of the park with meat, wounded him, and then 11 hours later, killed him. The fight against trophy hunting continues, and Cecil’s death served as a sad reminder that more work needs to be done to end this cruel practice.

But there is a bit of good news to report from the park Cecil called home. Check out this video of Cecil’s adorable little grandcubs hanging out in Hwange. Cecil’s son Xanda was spotted mating with the two mothers of this group of cubs, and these cute cubs are thought to be his grandbabies!
