You’ve probably seen pictures of an older man driving a tractor-pulled “train” full of happy, barking dogs through Ft. Worth Texas recently. These irresistible images are guaranteed to put a smile on any animal lover’s face, but do you know the story behind the dog train? Check out this clip from the CBS Evening News.
Two elderly brothers, repentant after a lifetime of hunting “anything that moved” are doing their part to make amends to animals. Besides feeding the local wildlife (we’ll overlook the fact that they’re using a bunch of Wonder Bread), they also have taken in stray dogs that have wandered onto their property.
But they’re not only giving those dogs a home, they also built a dog train and take them for rides around the community. Watch as these dogs sit in their little individual train cars and enjoy their trip around town. Looks like doggie heaven to us!
