Pets and Their Owners Reunited After Canadian Wildfire

The huge Fort McMurray wildfire that raged across Alberta, Canada this spring made news all over the world. Many watched in horror as families fled their homes to escape the quickly approaching flames with just minutes to spare. Sadly, beloved family pets of all shapes and sizes were often left behind in the rush to evacuate. Many animals hid in fear and their owners were unable to find them and put them in their carriers to take them away with them. Happily, many Fort McMurray pets have been rescued by caring volunteers and are now being reunited with their grateful owners.
